Osteoarthritis Arthritis (OA)
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a universal consequence of aging among animals with a bony skeleton. This common disease develops when the linings of joints degenerate, leading to pain and decreased mobility. Many factors contribute to the development of OA. The disease is primarily associated with aging and injury and was once called “wear-and-tear” arthritis. OA may occur secondary to many other conditions. However, in most cases, the true cause of OA is unknown.
What are the symptoms of osteoarthritis?
The onset of OA is gradual and most often affects the hips, knees, fingers, and spine, although other joints also may be involved. Pain is the main symptom, which usually worsens with exercise and is relieved by rest. Morning stiffness is also common and diminishes with movement. As OA progresses, joint motion is lost, and tenderness and grating sensations may develop. OA of the spine may lead to shooting pains down the arms or legs.

Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disorder that occurs in the later years of life. People with it develop progressive loss of memory and gradually lose the ability to function and to take care of themselves. The cause of this disorder is not known, although the problem appears to involve abnormal breakdown of acetylcholine (an important neurotransmitter in the brain). Some studies suggest it may be related to an accumulation of aluminum in the brain. Despite this suggestion, aluminum toxicity has been studied in humans, and it is quite distinct from Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, the importance of aluminum in causing Alzheimer’s disease remains an unresolved issue.
What are the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease?
Symptoms of Alzheimer’s include a pattern of forgetfulness, short attention span, difficulty in performing routine tasks, language problems, disorientation, poor judgment, problems with thinking, misplacing things, depression, irritability, paranoia, hostility, and lack of initiative.

Gingivitis (Periodontal Disease)
Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums (gingivae), caused by bacteria. Periodontitis is a deeper and more serious inflammation of both the gingivae and tissue that surrounds and supports the teeth. These common conditions are often progressive and can eventually result in loss of the underlying bone that supports the teeth. After age 30, periodontal disease is responsible for more tooth loss than are dental cavities. Severe periodontitis sometimes requires surgery to repair damaged gum tissue.

Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a type of skin discoloration characterized by progressively widening areas of depigmented (very white) skin. The depigmentation that occurs with this condition is associated with the local destruction of melanocytes, the cells that produce the pigment that darkens the skin, called melanin. Vitiligo affects 1–4% of the world’s population.
